⭐ 5678 Dance Company
Risin' Stars
2026-2027 Parent & Dancer Guide
Welcome to the Family!
Dear 5678 Dance Families,
Congratulations, and welcome to the 5678 Dance Company!
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome your family to our Company for the 2026-2027 season.
Becoming a Company dancer is a very exciting milestone. It's the beginning of an incredible journey filled with learning, growing, performing, making lifelong friendships, and creating memories that will last for years to come.
Our youngest Company members are just beginning to discover what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves. Along the way they'll learn much more than dance steps. They'll learn confidence, teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, kindness, sportsmanship, and the importance of encouraging others.
Every child grows at their own pace, and that's exactly how it should be. Our goal is never to compare dancers. Instead, we celebrate each dancer's personal journey and help them become the very best version of themselves.
Most importantly...
We want every dancer to LOVE coming to dance.
We're honored that you've chosen to trust us with your child, and we can't wait to share an amazing season together.
Our Philosophy
At 5678 Dance, we believe every child deserves to feel...
⭐ Encouraged
⭐ Included
⭐ Supported
⭐ Confident
⭐ Proud of their accomplishments
Dance is about much more than trophies or placements.
It's about learning how to work hard, believe in yourself, support your teammates, and perform with confidence.
Every rehearsal, every class, and every performance is another opportunity to grow.
Our Team Promise
As teachers, we promise to...
❤️ Encourage every dancer.
🌟 Celebrate effort as much as achievement.
🤝 Help children build friendships.
🎭 Create a positive learning environment.
✨ Teach confidence both on and off the stage.
As Company families, we ask everyone to help us by...
• Being kind.
• Being respectful.
• Being encouraging.
• Being supportive of every dancer.
• Remembering that mistakes are part of learning.
When we all work together, amazing things happen.
Every Star Shines Differently
One of the most important lessons we teach is that no two dancers are exactly alike.
Some dancers learn choreography quickly.
Others develop beautiful technique over time.
Some perform naturally on stage.
Others grow into confident performers through experience.
Every journey is different.
Please celebrate your dancer's growth without comparing them to teammates or dancers from other studios.
Our goal is to help every child become the best version of themselves.
Classes & Training
Strong dancers are built through consistent training.
Company members are expected to attend all required classes whenever possible, including ballet, Company class, rehearsals, and any additional required training.
If your child must miss class because of illness or another important commitment, please notify the studio as soon as possible.
Whenever appropriate, we'll gladly help arrange a makeup class so your dancer continues progressing.
Why Ballet?
Ballet is the foundation of every style of dance.
It develops strength, flexibility, balance, musicality, posture, coordination, and beautiful technique.
Every Company dancer takes ballet because it helps them become stronger in every other class they take.
Attendance
We know life happens.
Children get sick.
Families have important events.
Vacations are planned.
Whenever possible, please schedule appointments and activities around Company rehearsals and performances.
If your child cannot attend, simply let us know as early as possible.
Good communication helps everyone succeed.
Repeated absences, especially before performances, may affect choreography, spacing, or performance opportunities simply because we want every dancer to feel prepared and confident on stage.
Boot Camp
Saturday, August 22nd & Sunday, August 24th
One of the most exciting weekends of the year!
Boot Camp officially kicks off our new season.
⭐ We would love for our Risin' Stars to participate in lunch and Team Bonding from 12:15-1:15 PM both days.⭐ Dancers should bring their own lunch.
Performances
One of the best parts of Company is performing!
Throughout the season our dancers may perform at competitions, studio events, community performances, holiday celebrations, and other exciting opportunities.
Every performance is a chance to build confidence, celebrate hard work, and make unforgettable memories.
Parents can help by making sure dancers arrive on time with everything they need.
Injuries
If your dancer is injured but able to safely come to class, we encourage them to attend and observe.
Watching class allows dancers to continue learning choreography, corrections, and teamwork while remaining connected with their friends.
Please keep us informed of any injuries or medical restrictions.
Your child's health and safety will always come first.
Communication
We work hard to keep everyone informed.
Families should regularly check:
• Company Band
• Parent Band
• Fundraising Band
• Social Media
Throughout the season we'll share important reminders, schedules, events, deadlines, costume information, and exciting news. Reminder: New Band groups are created each year.
If your family has a wedding, graduation, Communion, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, school event, or another important commitment that may affect attendance, please let Ms. Jen know as soon as possible.
We'll always do our best to work together whenever possible.
Cell Phones
Dance class is a time to learn, focus, and have fun.
Please have dancers silence their phones before entering class.
Phones should remain put away.
If you need to reach your child during class, simply call the studio.
Kindness Always Wins
At 5678 Dance...
We cheer for everyone.
We celebrate everyone's accomplishments.
We respect every teacher.
We encourage every teammate.
We lift each other up.
Bullying, teasing, disrespectful behavior, or inappropriate language have no place in our studio.
Together, we create a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels valued.
Helping Every Dancer Succeed
Our goal is always to encourage, teach, and support every child.
If concerns ever arise regarding attendance, focus, behavior, or preparedness, we'll communicate with families and work together to help each dancer be successful.
In rare situations involving ongoing safety concerns, repeated disruptive behavior, or failure to meet Company expectations after communication with the family, the studio reserves the right to remove a dancer from a routine or the Company.
Appearance & Class Attire
A neat appearance helps dancers feel confident and prepared.
Hair should always be securely styled.
• Ballet and lyrical require a bun.
• Other classes may allow a neat ponytail when instructed.
Please refer to the Parent Portal and registration information for required dancewear and shoes.
Annual Auditions
All Company dancers audition each season.
Auditions help us determine choreography, class placement, and the best opportunities for every dancer as they continue to grow.
Every new season is a fresh beginning.
Commitment Fee
A signed Company Commitment Agreement and the $150 commitment fee are required to reserve your dancer's place for the season.
The commitment fee is applied toward Company expenses including props and staffing.
Tuition
Company tuition includes a comprehensive training program designed to help dancers continue developing throughout the season.
For Combo Students in the Risin’ Stars Company, Company class/rehearsal tuition is $70 per month, in addition to regular Combo class tuition.
Pee Wee Hip-Hop and acro are also recommended.
Competition & Costume Fees

Financial Responsibility
Company participation involves tuition, competition fees, costumes, travel, required apparel, workshops, and other related expenses.
